Fresh ‘PIE’ to revolutionize Pinoy entertainment experience

Something fresh, unique, and exciting in Philippine entertainment is finally out of the oven!

Called PIE, short for Pinoy Interactive Entertainment, this new “dish” challenges traditional entertainment recipes to cater to changing viewer palates. With an exciting menu of content to offer, PIE is set to revolutionize how Filipinos enjoy TV.

With people already so involved on social media and video streaming, watching shows on TV is no longer enough. PIE combines digital and traditional to become the country’s first multi-screen, real-time interactive TV channel.

“We are giving viewers a piece of a new pie. With PIE, they are part of the story. They can choose the ending, join online conversations, and even influence a jackpot player’s decision. Kasali ang lahat sa kwento, panalo pa sa premyo,” said Jil Go, KROMA Head of Broadcast and Publishing Group.

A collaboration of bakers have come together to give PIEnalo moments to all! In the kitchen are BEAM, with its expanded digital broadcast reach, their content supplier, tradigital media company KROMA and partner, ABS-CBN. The network’s content expertise and KROMA’s tech product mix are fully enabled by the 917Ventures portfolio companies and AdSpark, a digital and mobile marketing solutions provider.

917Ventures is a digital technology company and the country’s largest corporate venture builder backed by Globe. It supports PIE via popular e-wallet platform GCash, messaging platform M360, data-driven solutions provider Inquiro, and

end-to-end ecommerce solutions platform RUSH.

“We operate and work as an ecosystem. Our Fintech, Adtech, Ecommerce and Data Capabilities and dominant reach will complement PIE’s content and interactive proposition. PIE will be the only linear channel that may be accessed via GCash GLife.

Prizes and other voucher-based promotions may also be done via GCash,” said Vince Yamat, 917Ventures’ Managing Director.

“Entertainment has made leaps and bounds throughout the years. At nandito na naman tayo, another big leap is set right before our eyes. We will connect audiences through fun, exciting and meaningful experiences,” added Go.

Watch PIE by scanning your digital TV boxes or smart TVs. You can also catch the live broadcast feed on SkyCable Channel 21, www.pie.com.ph or on the GCash app’s GLife.
